KW Family Reunion Is Awesome!

Friends and blog readers may have noticed that some of the F|A Network made a trip to Las Vegas last week. It’s true, we left the Devine Street Corridor/Forest Acres Neighborhood world for four whole nights. It was worth it, for F|A and our clients.

Why were we there? To learn.

Keller Williams National Convention, better known as ‘Family Reunion,’ was held in Vegas this year. I’ll put it like this. Over that last seven or so years together, I feel like Amanda and I have been around the horn a little bit. We’ve seen good stuff, and have been impressed, of course. This is not a place for that. This is a place to be proud and humbled at the same time. It’s a place where we go to be surrounded by 16,000, 17,000, or 18,000 other ravenous learners.

Imagine all of these folks in one room three or four times during a week before we all go to break-our sessions? Incredible.

This is the third Family Reunion for Amanda and me, second for Elizabeth Ross, and first for Craig Augenstein. It’s grown every time since my first trip to Orlando with Amanda, and my camera can’t possibly do any of the scenes justice. I’ve tried. Truth told, it’s the largest group of humanity I’ve ever seen in one venue short of a football game, basketball game, or concert. It’s certainly the most I’ve ever seen in a non-amphitheater setting. I’m tellin’ ya, it’s a thing.

To the learning: It’s head shaking, even for the most experienced and most accomplished Realtor. From the enhancement of the client’s experience, to training, to technology…nothing comes close. How to hire better, build a real career, and how to help others through growth and sharing. KW, through guides and personality assessments, helps us find what we’re good at within the real estate industry, and what makes each player happy. KW helps us find our seat on the bus and encourages us to do what we do best. It’s all here.

To the fun: Pffffffffff.

As most of you know, the lack of awesomeness of the hotel rooms in Vegas ‘encourage’ people to the casinos and shows. I don’t think my room ever got below 75 degrees, which means I’m outta there, of course. That said, the tables and machines aren’t where the fun is for me. The fun for me is getting together with the best in the world and masterminding.

Since I haven’t posted in a week I could type all night! That said, I have to pull back somewhere, but I have to give a shout where it’s damn due.

Here goes…. Movement Mortgage. Repeat: Movement Mortgage…. threw the baddest assesst, straight-up, throw down’est, off the tank axle rager that I may have ever attended. These KW supporting mortgage folks rented out Paris – Las Vegas, and showed freegin’ out! And by “showed out,” I don’t mean food and drink, and mingling. Movement Mortgage went the 100,000 extra miles and showed us world class DJ jam’bangin, and crazy branding everywhere that made peeps feel like they owned Vegas for a night.

I don’t want to over do it, but don’t want to cheat it, either. That party was hours of crazy fun. Did I end up with Mike Tyson or a tiger in my room? No. Did someone else? Who. Knows?

Wednesday night I got two hours of sleep (this is when I lost my voice), but other than that I had a big time! As a side note, I didn’t gamble one hand. Not even a slot machine….

If you or anyone you know would like to know about a career in real estate, or what the possibilities within this industry are all about, please call/text 803-447-8683 or email franklin@mycolumbiahome.com . I’d be happy to talk to you!

Thank you!
