It’s late and I have a big list in front of me but wanted to give some scoop. Word is Panera Bread (I think a lot of you know about the Panera deal) and Tijuana Flats restaurants are coming to the Fort Jackson end of Forest Drive, across from Sam’s Club, etc.
Also, I think it’s pretty much out there that my friend Drew Hampton is expanding the Eggs Up Grille franchise to Lexington. Location details coming soon.
While most Downtown Columbia residents know about the Panera and Eggs Up Brands, here are some details about Tijuana Flats.
Tijuana Flats is an American restaurant chain serving Tex-Mex cuisine. It has 108 locations throughout Florida, Georgia, South Carolina, North Carolina, Virginia, Pennsylvania and Indiana.

For a while Columbia had become a little bit of a new style frozen yogurt town. Sprinkles, gummy worms, and chunked fruit were everywhere. We’ve taken a turn towards the taco and burrito. Good by me! Either way, congrats to the owners of these franchise and/or brands! If’s fun to see new ventures come to our city.
